Video featuring Steve Sashihara, author of The Optimization Edge.
Optimization is very tangible and extremely valuable and I pity the companies that have to compete against it, author Steve Sashihara told Investor’s Business Daily. So what exactly is optimization and why is it a revolution in decision making for organizations? In this video interview, Steve explains optimization for the general business executive, how it drives up the value of assets, and why it is in many respects the antithesis of cutback management.
In his book, The Optimization Edge, Steve Sashihara documents how companies like UPS, Intel and McDonalds use optimization to add millions in revenue and cost savings. Consulting Magazine wrote, Sashihara argues optimization is no longer a nice-to-have for companies but a categorical imperative.
“For executives who don’t have an optimization strategy, this book is a must read,” says Jim Goodnight, CEO of SAS. “There’s a good chance that the competition already has an active optimization battle plan–and the bottom-line savings to prove it.”
